The collaborative process involves the participants to first identify the issue, then list the interest with regard to the identified issue, brainstorm options for potential resolution and finally reach consensus on the desired option.
The dictation of the newsprint shows verbatim, the identified issue, the interest of the issue, the options that were brainstormed and the consensus that was reached.

Discussions and Determinations:
Joan started the meeting with the concern that we were not making enough progress on the issues. She suggested that we deal with the issue of Student Incidences. The group felt if we could create protocols and procedures for the broad category we would tick many of the original listed issues off the list. The group discussed and began the process of developing the steps of action for student incidences.

Pre-K enjoyed the warm weather on Wednesday and had lunch outside. What a beautiful day that was!

Now accepting Kindergarten and Pre-K applications.

Earlier this week Chewonki Foundation came to Whitefield with an owl presentation. Pr-K and Kindergarten learned all about owls.



Tomorrow, Thursday May 3rd, Whitefield School will be having a 3 bus run both in the morning and afternoon. In the morning if your child rides on Mr. Webb's, Mr. Bronn's or Mr. Cote's bus, please expect them to be picked up in the morning five minutes earlier then normal. If your child rides Mr. Brann's bus, your pick up time will be between 8-8:20am.
In the afternoon, due to the 3 bus run, drop off times vary. Please call the school if you have a question about drop off times.
Miss Brenda and Miss Amanda served up a super yummy Homemade Fresh Fruit Smoothie for school breakfast today. It is a tasty and nutritious breakfast option that was a big hit! A great way to start the day.




The kindergarten and 7th grade class learning about our greenhouse and aquaponics system.




This morning Whitefield School had some excitement. There was a small car fire in the back parking lot. It was easily taken care of with a fire extinguisher. The fire department was called as a precaution. They came and determined that there was no further risk of fire. The car has been towed. If you have any questions or concerns you may call the school. We would like to thank the Whitefield Fire Department for their prompt arrival and assessment of the situation.
On Monday, Lincoln County Red E. Fox visited with pre-k through 3rd grade students. He was here to teach our students about the use of 911.

On Wednesday, Chris DeLisle gave a very interesting presentation on blacksmithing to the 5th grade class

Come join the 2017-2018 Whitefield Elementary School's National Junior Honor Society in our first ever Floor Hockey Tournament on May 11th.


The cast of Whitefield's Drama Club before they performed "The Ever After" for our school on Tuesday.
A talk show host interviews estranged fairy tale characters who want to reconcile on live tv.

Reminder - Coding Club has been canceled for tonight - Mrs. Howard will be attending a meeting. Sorry for the inconvenience - we will have Coding Club next Tuesday.
Reminder! Tomorrow, Wednesday, March 28, is a full student day. There is no early dismissal tomorrow. This is to make up time because of snow days.
Tomorrow, March 27, Whitefield School will be having a three bus run in the afternoon. Please be aware that drop off times will vary and could be ealier or later then normal.
