Due to circumstances beyond our control, Whitefield Elementary School will be doing a three bus run in the afternoons from now until June 13th. Unless informed otherwise, we will continue to have a four bus run in the mornings. Please plan the remainder of the school year accordingly. This is a reminder that if you are a resident of RSU 12, the RSU 12 District Budget meeting will take place this Wednesday, May 21st, at 6:30pm in the Chelsea Elementary School gym. Residents will vote on whether or not to approve the proposed budget, which has been unanimously endorsed by the RSU 12 Board of Directors. Please attend this important meeting. The budget approved on May 21st will go to referendum in all towns for a final vote on June 10th.

Attention RSU 12 families! It is time to enroll for next year's preK program. If you have a child who will be 4-years-old on October 1, 2025, please contact the school in your town to ask about enrolling your child in PreK. The preK program is an all-day program and includes breakfast, lunch, and rest time as well as rich play-based learning experiences based on the PreK for ME curriculum. Each of our preK classrooms partners with Head Start. Contact any RSU 12 school for more information and to begin the enrollment process.
We have been able to find a substitute bus driver for today and tomorrow. We will run a normal four bus run both days in the morning and afternoon. Unfortunately there is still no bus transportation for Camp Whitefield. We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this may cause.

Clue in to School Breakfast—We will be celebrating National School Breakfast Week this week. Students can Clue in to a nutritious breakfast at school! Participants who join us for breakfast every day will receive a prize at the end of the week!
The weather forecast predicts snow starting this morning around 9 am and continuing until 2 p.m., and then an ice and rain mix. Our 2:30 dismissal will be difficult. It will be challenging to transport students home safely. Therefore, all RSU 12 schools are closed today.
