
The 2024-2025 RSU 12 School Budget has been approved by the voters of RSU 12. We are grateful that all RSU 12 towns have approved the school budget. We cannot thank you enough for your investment in RSU 12 students' education and future. Reminder that tomorrow, Tuesday, June 11th, there is a referendum on the proposed RSU 12 school district budget. Please remember to vote at your local polling stations.

Due to a lack of substitute drivers, Ms. Annette's bus students will be coming home an hour early on Thursday, June 6. If you would like to pick your child up at the regular time, please call the office to make arrangements. 445-2356. Thank you for your understanding.

If your child rides Mr. Jeff's bus, please expect them to be at least 15 to 20 minutes late arriving home. We are accepting Pre-k applications and kindergarten registrations. Please call the school at 445-2356 for more information. Students must be 4 yrs old on or before October 15th to be eligible to apply for Pre-k and 5 yrs old on or before October 15th to register for kindergarten. If your child needs to be screened for pre-k or kindergarten, that will take place at the Somerville School on June 13th and 14th. Thank you


This is a reminder that if you are a resident of RSU 12, the RSU 12 District Budget meeting will take place this Wednesday, May 22nd, at 6:30 p.m. in the Chelsea Elementary School gym. Residents will learn about the school district budget and vote on whether or not to approve the budget, which has been unanimously endorsed and proposed by the RSU 12 Board of Directors. Please attend this important meeting. The budget approved on May 22nd will go to referendum in all towns for a final vote on June 11th.

Congratulations to this year's district winners of the RSU 12 anti-bullying poster contest! The 1st place winner is Samantha Libby from Windsor Elementary. The 2nd place winners are Braelyn Skidgel, Paige McGuire, Mia Denis, and Aurora Flynn from Chelsea Elementary. The 3rd place winners are Lennox Joslyn and Chloe Coutts from Whitefield Elementary. RSU 12 is excited to announce that one of our teachers, Kristel Anuszewski, Windsor Learning Commons teacher, has been named the Kennebec County Teacher of the Year! Maine County Teachers of the Year serve as ambassadors for teachers, students, and schools throughout their year of service. In addition, they are eligible to be considered for Maine Teacher of the Year. Congratulations, Kristel! RSU 12 is so proud of you!

Please note the following schedule and bus changes for the week of April 8-12 due to driver shortage and early release times next week:
Monday, April 8: Ms. Debbie’s bus students will be brought home one hour early, leaving school at 12:30. This is also an early dismissal day for all students at 1:30.
Tuesday, April 9: Ms. Annette’s bus students will be brought home one hour early, leaving school at 1:30.
Friday, April 12: Ms. Annette’s students will be picked up about 45 minutes late. Also that day, Ms. Debbie’s students will be coming home one hour early, so they will be leaving school at approximately 10:30. This is an early dismissal day for all students at 11:30 to start April Vacation.
As always, you are welcome to drop your children off at 8:00 or pick them up from school at the regular dismissal time. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
