Calling all four year olds in RSU 12!
RSU 12 and local Head Start programs are continuing their partnership to offer a free, high quality, comprehensive Pre-Kindergarten program to children in the district who turn four by October 15, 2018. Programs will be located Chelsea, Whitefield, Windsor and Somerville. Bus transportation will be provided. Pre -K programs will operate Monday through Friday and follow the school schedule. Meals will be served and a short rest period will be included. Classrooms will be staffed by a certified Early Childhood Teacher and Education Technicians to assist in the classroom. Children in the program will receive comprehensive services.
All families are encouraged to apply.

RSU 12 serves the towns of Alna, Chelsea, Palermo, Somerville, Westport Island, Whitefield, and Windsor.

On February 8th, the Windsor 7th grade class was recognized by the Maine State House, as was, Saber Hanington for his first place finish on the Maine State Native American Essay Award. After the House visit, Saber was presented with his award by the Secretary of State, Matthew Dunlap. Saber's mother, Amber Michaud and his grandmother, Bev Michaud were also in attendance.
