Congratulations to our preK students of the month for the month of April, one of whom is seen here with a great big smile. We are so proud of them and of all our preK students at Somerville Elementary School who have grown so much since the start of the school year!
The students of Somerville Elementary School's preK classrooms stood nervously by their art work waiting for their "audience" to arrive. They'd recently shown off their talents to their parents and other family members, and now it was time to show their work to the staff in the district office. The gymnasium was transformed into a gallery of color and imagination. The students rose to the occasionally brilliantly, telling the staff about their learning and sharing their favorite pieces. For the staff, the students and their art work were vibrant reminders of why they do the work they do.

High winds are forecasted for gusts up to 60 MPH starting around 1 pm today. This will most likely result in power outages, falling trees, and blocked roads. It also makes driving high-profile vehicles such as buses very difficult. All RSU 12 schools will release early today at 11:30 am, Friday, December 19, 2025.
Today's (12/15) girls varsity basketball game against Whitefield has been postponed. They will play at Whitefield on 1/22 @ 5:30.
