Linda Bleile, Principal of Wiscasset Middle School, has been selected as the Maine School Administrator of the Year by the Maine School Counselor's Association. Mrs. Bleile has been at WMS for 37 years, the last 8 as the school's Principal. She has brought a number of exciting and innovative programs to the school during her tenure, including the Expeditionary Learning program, and has implemented the Strategies That Work program for her staff, all of which have resulted in some of the highest MEA test scores and performance levels by her students in the state of Maine. Mrs.
Bleile has worked for many years with Mrs. Lippert, her school counselor, in terms of implementing these programs and also developing opportunities for students to succeed and perform at the highest possible achievement levels. We are most proud of Mrs. Bleile and the success she has achieved in working with all members of the Wiscasset school community. |
We are also very pleased to announce that Susan Lippert was selected as the Maine School Counselor of the year and honored at the same reception. Mrs. Lippert is a veteran educator who brings to the profession years of varied experiences and expertise in the field of counseling. Mrs. Lippert is well known throughout the State of Maine for her role in working with the Civil Rights teams. Over the past few years, Mrs. Lippert has had many counselor interns working with her as she provides them with worthwhile, beneficial, and authentic experiences. Mrs. Lippert is a valuable and respected member of the WMS staff and a gift to the educational profession and field of counseling. It is highly unusual
to have both awards presented to educators at the same school. |
