In December 2014, RSU 12 became one of thirteen school districts in the State of Maine to be awarded a multi-million dollar grant by the Department of Education to increase access to pre-school education. This has allowed RSU 12 to expand to four pre-kindergarten classrooms in the district in the 2015-16 school year. RSU 12 has expanded to five classrooms in 2016-17 with the addition of a pre-K classroom at Windsor Elementary. We are excited about this opportunity to provide an educational experience to our district's youngest learners.
