My name is Allison Myers. I am very excited and honored to be starting my new role as Principal at Chelsea Elementary School. I bring to the position 16 years of successful teaching in the Hall-Dale schools to grades K-8. This included working with students of all abilities, mentoring new teachers, helping to lead colleagues from various content areas towards common goals, and assisting the building administrators in all aspects of the schools. My successful teaching performance allowed me to serve in many leadership capacities. I have served as grade-level team leader, PBIS team leader, foreign language curriculum chair, and back-up administrator for the past four years.
The members of the Chelsea community have already been very welcoming, and I am eager to meet more of you. I have heard about many wonderful things that the school, and community, have been doing and I’m looking forward to continuing the work with everyone. I know this year will have added challenges of figuring out how to return to school safely amid the pandemic, but we are all in this together, and I cannot wait to greet the students when we return in the fall.
